This is a face polished end cut of Gary Green Jasper, also known as Larsonite or petrified bog wood, is a unique silicified material found near McDermitt along the Oregon-Nevada border. Formed 11 to 15 million years ago when volcanic ash covered ancient swamp vegetation, it features distinct shades of teal, lime green, blue, brown, and pink. The Gary Green location has been under private ownership since the 1800's making this a rare find in collections.
