This is a fully polished cut of Wyoming flame sponge, also called flame sponge or prairie agate - a rare type of petrified saltwater sponge and plume agate found primarily in central Wyoming's White River Formation. It features fiery red, orange, yellow, and pink plumes that resemble boiling or erupting flames.
